Japanese Furoshiki wrapping is amazing & versatile, you can use it as a wrapping, use as a bag, table cloth, cover and more.
It is a linear design with a traditional hemp leaf pattern in fine gold lines.
The hemp leaf means "healthy growth, protection from bad luck" and the tortoise shell means "long life and good health".
(I love hemp leaf pattern! My favourite in all Japanese traditional pattern!!)
The patterns are arranged in a hexagonal pattern following the lines of the leaves. In this design, you see the leaves and tortoiseshell at the same time.
By changing the way of wrapping and the position of the object, this furoshiki can look like a red furoshiki or a white furoshiki.
